Nail art is always a fun way to spice up your nail game, and people are really bringing it for Fall 2015. While the looks aren’t too crazy this season, they add a little extra attention to your nails, and are a great way to show off a little personality.

Appliqués
Little additions to a regular nail are all the rage. Start off with a coat of a neutral or white shade and then get creative with some appliques. Look to the cute blue squares that were glued onto the nail at the Cushnie et Ochs show, or the simple and adorable dew drop embellishments at Jenny Packham. Get yourself some nail glue that you’d use to stick on fake nails, find a thin material that will adhere easily, and choose a shape or design you like.

Nail polish with splattered paint

Splatter
Re-create a painter’s room with colorful splatter that imitates a brushstroke. This look was seen at the Desiguel show and I could not be more in love. Painting my nails does not come easily for me, but this is a look I know I can master on my own. Start off with a coat or two of a solid color, preferably a dark shade, then flick some color on top! Use as many different colors as you’d like to get that eccentric artist look.

Thin Stripes
Stripes were popping up all over the runways for Fall 2015. Keep them thin and simple over bulky and blocky, but have fun with it. I loved the look at Prabal Gurung, which painted on a thin vertical navy stripe on top of gray polish, giving a sleek look while still livening up the nails more than simple color. You could also keep the nail bare, with the stripe being the only polish, like the white T-shapes at Suno runway, or glittery gold at Delpozo. If you’re opting for a naked nail underneath, make sure you use a stand out polish like something sparkly or eye-catching to do your lines.
